Presentation of the Serie

The FIA HISTORIC FORMULA ONE CHAMPIONSHIP ( ex THOROUGHBRED GRAND PRIX) was founded in 1994 and has now become the climax of modern Formula 1 as the grid is made up of F1 race cars from 1966 to 1985.

The championship now belongs to the FIA historic F1 world championship and finds increasing success with amateur drivers whose passion and driving skills means they need have no cause to be in awe of earlier stars. Indeed: you will be surprised when comparing today’s times on the Spa circuits, as some are even lower than the lap times set by the star drivers of the past with the same car!

The championship is coming back to Spa this year with an unmatched show and superb line-up which is going to make the Ardennes plateau positively shiver at the noise of the F1 engines in spring 2010 again.
